Σήμερα, στη θρυλική πίστα του Le Mans, η PEUGEOT παρουσίασε το νέο E-208 GTi.

 

Ο Alain FAVEY, CEO της PEUGEOT, ο Jean-Marc FINOT, CEO της Stellantis Motorsport και ο Matthias HOSSANN, Επικεφαλής Σχεδίασης της PEUGEOT, μαζί με τον Paul Di RESTA, επίσημο οδηγό της ομάδας Peugeot TotalEnergies, συμμετείχαν σε αυτή την ξεχωριστή εκδήλωση στoν ειδικά διαμορφωμένο χώρο PEUGEOT Fan zone στην πίστα του Le Mans.

 

To λογότυπο GTi επιστρέφει σε ένα από τα πιο επιτυχημένα αυτοκίνητα της κατηγορίας B, το PEUGEOT E-208. Εστιάζοντας στις οδηγικές αισθήσεις, το E-208 GTi προσφέρει τις κορυφαίες επιδόσεις στην αγορά ηλεκτρικών hot hatch, με 280 ίππους και επιτάχυνση 0-100 χλμ./ώρα σε μόλις 5,7 δευτερόλεπτα.

 

Πριν από 40 χρόνια, η PEUGEOT έγραψε ιστορία παρουσιάζοντας το 205 GTi. Στις εκδόσεις 1.6L (1984) και 1.9L (1986), το 205 GTi δημιούργησε μια νέα κατηγορία μικρών σπορ hatchback, συνδυάζοντας εξαιρετικές επιδόσεις και οδηγική απόλαυση με σπορ σχεδιασμό και μοναδική ευελιξία.

 

Για 4 δεκαετίες, το σήμα PEUGEOT GTi σφράγισε την ιστορία των σπορ αυτοκινήτων με μοντέλα όπως τα 306, 206, 207, 208 και την αγωνιστική ιστορία με πολλές νίκες – ιδιαίτερα στους αγώνες ράλι. Το GTi δεν είναι απλώς σήμα, είναι διάκριση που επισφραγίζει την αριστεία μερικών από τα πιο εμβληματικά μοντέλα της PEUGEOT.

 

Σήμερα, η PEUGEOT συνεχίζει τον θρύλο του GTi, επαναπροσδιορίζοντας το DNA του με έναν διασκεδαστικό, σύγχρονο και δυναμικό τρόπο. Το νέο PEUGEOT E-208 GTi είναι το πρώτο 100% ηλεκτρικό GTi. Εκφράζει τη σύγχρονη και βιώσιμη οδηγική απόλαυση, συνδυάζοντας κορυφαίες επιδόσεις στην κατηγορία B με εξαιρετική καθημερινή ευχρηστία.

 

Το E-208 GTi είναι συνεπώς περισσότερο GTi από ποτέ, γιατί η PEUGEOT παίρνει την οδηγική απόλαυση στα σοβαρά. Το E-208 GTi ανοίγει μια νέα εποχή στα PEUGEOT GTi.

Αποτέλεσμα της δουλειάς των μηχανικών της PEUGEOT Sport και των σχεδιαστών της PEUGEOT, το νέο E-208 GTi προσφέρει τις καλύτερες επιδόσεις στην κατηγορία του με κομψότητα και διακριτικότητα. Ένα φιλικό, και όχι κραυγαλέο αυτοκίνητο… για εκείνους που γνωρίζουν.

 

Το DNA του GTi στην καρδιά του E-208 GTi

 

• Επιβλητικό

 

Όπως όλα τα μοντέλα GTi τα τελευταία 40 χρόνια, το E-208 GTi ξεχωρίζει πρώτα από όλα για τη δυναμική του στάση στο δρόμο χάρη στο αμάξωμα που έχει χαμηλώσει κατά 3 εκατοστά και τα φαρδύτερα μετατρόχια: κατά 5,6 εκ. εμπρός και 2,7 εκατοστά πίσω.

 

Οι μεγάλες ζάντες 18 ιντσών, με την υπογραφή «PEUGEOT GTi», ενισχύουν την ισχυρή παρουσία του οχήματος. Η διάτρητη κατασκευή τους παραπέμπει στις εμβληματικές «τρυπητές» ζάντες του 205 GTi. Ωστόσο, στο GTi ο σχεδιασμός υπηρετεί και τις επιδόσεις: οι οπές συμβάλλουν στη βελτιστοποίηση της ψύξης των φρένων.

• Εμβληματικός και διακριτικός εξωτερικός σχεδιασμός

 

Οι θόλοι των τροχών εξυπηρετούν την αισθητική και την αποδοτικότητα. Έχουν διευρυνθεί για να φιλοξενήσουν τα αυξημένα μετατρόχια και αναδεικνύονται από μια κομψή και σπορ κόκκινη γραμμή – άλλη μια αναφορά στο 205 GTi. Το κάτω μέρος τους είναι φαρδύ λόγω των ελαστικών, ενισχύοντας έτσι το σπορ χαρακτήρα του αυτοκινήτου… χωρίς υπερβολές.

 

Ο σχεδιασμός των κάτω μερών του εμπρός και πίσω προφυλακτήρα ενισχύει περαιτέρω τη σπορ ταυτότητα του PEUGEOT E-208 GTi. Στο εμπρός μέρος έχει προστεθεί ένα σποϊλερ στο κάτω μέρος του προφυλακτήρα, ενώ πίσω υπάρχει αεροδυναμικός διαχύτης σε στιλπνό μαύρο χρώμα που ενσωματώνει LED φως ομίχλης.

 

Τέλος, στο E-208 GTi, το κόκκινο είναι το χρώμα! Το μοντέλο διαθέτει μια αποκλειστική έντονη κόκκινη απόχρωση αμαξώματος, που αποτελεί φόρο τιμής στην εμβληματική κόκκινη βαφή που καθιέρωσε το πρώτο 205 GTi.

 

• Μια καθηλωτική ατμόσφαιρα στο εσωτερικό

 

Το εμβληματικό κόκκινο χρώμα των μοντέλων PEUGEOT GTi φέρνει τη δυναμική και την ενέργειά του και στο εσωτερικό του νέου E-208 GTi.

 

Το έντονο κόκκινο στις μοκέτες, τα πατάκια και τις ζώνες ασφαλείας του E-208 GTi, όπως και στο 205 GTi, δημιουργεί αμέσως μια σπορ ατμόσφαιρα στην καμπίνα.

 

Ο σπορ και κομψός σχεδιασμός των ειδικών καθισμάτων εμπρός, με ενσωματωμένα προσκέφαλα, αποτίει φόρο τιμής στον σχεδιασμό των καθισμάτων του 205 GTi 1.9, με μια κεντρική κόκκινη λωρίδα να εκτείνεται στην έδρα και την πλάτη του καθίσματος. Χαρακτηριστικό είναι και το κόκκινο πλέγμα στη δεξιά πλευρά των καθισμάτων, που παραπέμπει σε εκείνο του 205 GTi 1.6.

 

Το συμπαγές τιμόνι, βασικό στοιχείο της οδηγικής απόλαυσης PEUGEOT, διαθέτει διάτρητο κόκκινο δέρμα σε συνδυασμό με Alcantara® και ένα κεντρικό έμβλημα και αυτό σε κόκκινο χρώμα.

 

Το E-208 GTi ενισχύει την κομψότητα του E-208

 

• Συμπαγής και δυναμική σιλουέτα

 

Το δυναμικό στυλ του E-208, ένα από τα βασικά στοιχεία της επιτυχίας του μοντέλου, έκανε το έργο των σχεδιαστών του E-208 GTi πιο εύκολο. Το συμπαγές αμάξωμα του E-208, με τους τονισμένους ώμους και τους κοντούς προβόλους, αποτέλεσε ιδανική βάση, η οποία στο E-208 GTi αποκτά ακόμα πιο επιβλητική παρουσία χάρη στη χαμηλωμένη ανάρτηση και τα φαρδύτερα μετατρόχια.

 

• Μια εμβληματική φωτεινή υπογραφή

 

Το PEUGEOT E-208 GTi διαθέτει την εμβληματική φωτεινή υπογραφή με τις τρεις νυχιές, χαρακτηριστικό όλων των μοντέλων 208. Το οπτικό αποτέλεσμα είναι εντυπωσιακό. Μπροστά, η έντονη παρουσία των τριών φωτεινών νυχιών που ενσωματώνονται στον προφυλακτήρα ενισχύεται από τη λειτουργία φωτισμού των προβολέων “full LED”, μέσω της χρήσης τριών ανεξάρτητων οπτικών μονάδων. Πίσω, οι τρεις οριζόντιες νυχιές, που αποτελούνται από τρεις κομψές λωρίδες LED, ενισχύουν περαιτέρω την επιβλητική παρουσία του αυτοκινήτου.

 

• Εκλεπτυσμένη αισθητική

 

Όπως όλα τα μοντέλα PEUGEOT GTi, έτσι και το E-208 GTi συνδυάζει τον σπορ χαρακτήρα με την κομψότητα. Η εκλεπτυσμένη αισθητική τύπου GTi εκφράζεται μέσα από μικρές κόκκινες πινελιές, εφαρμοσμένες με φινέτσα αλλά και ενθουσιασμό σε διάφορα σημεία του E-208 GTi: στη μάσκα, γύρω από τα λογότυπα PEUGEOT, στους προβολείς, στα φτερά, στις εμπρός δαγκάνες των φρένων, κάτω από την πίσω αεροτομή, στις ραφές που διατρέχουν το ταμπλό.

 

Γαλλικό ’savoir-faire’, Γαλλική Υπεροχή

 

• Σχεδιασμένο από την PEUGEOT Sport και τους σχεδιαστές της PEUGEOT

 

Το E-208 GTi σχεδιάστηκε εξολοκλήρου από τις ομάδες της PEUGEOT Sport, με έδρα το Satory στο Παρίσι, σε συνεργασία με τις σχεδιαστικές ομάδες της PEUGEOT στο Vélizy, επίσης κοντά στο Παρίσι. Με τη μοναδική τους εμπειρία στον μηχανοκίνητο αθλητισμό,

 

οι μηχανικοί της PEUGEOT Sport δεν έκαναν κανέναν συμβιβασμό όσον αφορά την απόδοση και τις επιδόσεις. Το αποτέλεσμα είναι εντυπωσιακό: το E-208 GTi είναι το πιο ισχυρό και αποδοτικό μοντέλο της κατηγορίας B.

 

Το E-208 GTi είναι το πρώτο αμιγώς ηλεκτρικό αυτοκίνητο που σχεδιάστηκε από την PEUGEOT Sport.

 

Η εμπειρία που απέκτησε η ομάδα από τη συμμετοχή στο Παγκόσμιο Πρωτάθλημα Αντοχής (WEC), με τα υβριδικά PEUGEOT 9X8 στην κατηγορία Hypercar, αποδείχθηκε πολύτιμη για τον σχεδιασμό του E-208 GTi – ιδιαίτερα στην τελειοποίηση της θερμικής διαχείρισης και της ανάκτησης ενέργειας. Οι μηχανικοί της PEUGEOT Sport εργάστηκαν επίσης εκτενώς επάνω στο πλαίσιο και το σύστημα πέδησης του E-208 GTi (βλ. παρακάτω). Η αποκάλυψη του E-208 GTi στην καρδιά του γαλλικού και διεθνούς μηχανοκίνητου αθλητισμού, κατά τη διάρκεια ενός από τα σημαντικότερα αγωνιστικά γεγονότα της χρονιάς, τις 24 Ώρες του Le Mans, μόνο τυχαία δεν είναι. Η τεχνογνωσία της πίστας περνά στον δρόμο.

 

• Ηλεκτροκινητήρας “Made in France”

 

Ο ισχυρός ηλεκτροκινητήρας του E-208 GTi κατασκευάζεται στο Trémery, στην ανατολική Γαλλία — ένα εργοστάσιο με μακρά παράδοση στην παραγωγή κινητήρων, το οποίο πλέον είναι αφιερωμένο στα ηλεκτρικά συστήματα κίνησης, στο πλαίσιο της κοινοπραξίας Emotors μεταξύ της Stellantis και της Nidec Leroy-Somer.

 

• Ομαδική προσπάθεια με Γάλλους συνεργάτες

 

Η PEUGEOT απαίτησε το καλύτερο για το E-208 GTi, συνεργαζόμενη με Γάλλους προμηθευτές για συγκεκριμένα εξαρτήματα. Αυτό ισχύει ιδιαίτερα για τα ελαστικά, τα οποία αποτελούν θεμελιώδες στοιχείο της απόδοσης: η Michelin, μακροχρόνιος συνεργάτης της PEUGEOT, προμήθευσε τα ελαστικά υψηλών επιδόσεων του E-208 GTi, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 σε διάσταση 215/40-18.

 

 

ΕΥΕΛΙΞΙΑ, ΔΥΝΑΜΙΣΜΟΣ, ΑΠΟΛΑΥΣΗ: ΜΟΝΑΔΙΚΕΣ ΟΔΗΓΙΚΕΣ ΕΜΠΕΙΡΙΕΣ

 

Για την PEUGEOT, το να παίρνει στα σοβαρά την απόλαυση της οδήγησης σημαίνει, πρώτα απ’ όλα, να προσφέρει εξαιρετικές επιδόσεις και μοναδικές οδηγικές αισθήσεις — μοναδικές στην αγορά…

 

Η καλύτερη ηλεκτρική απόδοση στην κατηγορία Β

 

• Ηλεκτροκινητήρας 280 ίππων

 

Το PEUGEOT E-208 GTi εξοπλίζεται με τον ηλεκτροκινητήρα M4+, ο οποίος αποδίδει 280 ίππους και εντυπωσιακή ροπή 345 Nm. Έτσι, το E-208 GTi προσφέρει τις κορυφαίες επιδόσεις ανάμεσα σε όλα τα μοντέλα της κατηγορίας B: επιτάχυνση 0–100 χλμ./ώρα σε μόλις 5,7 δευτερόλεπτα και τελική ταχύτητα 180 χλμ./ώρα.

 

• Διαφορικό περιορισμένης ολίσθησης

 

Το PEUGEOT E-208 GTi διαθέτει διαφορικό περιορισμένης ολίσθησης ενσωματωμένο στον μειωτήρα, το οποίο βελτιστοποιεί τη συμπεριφορά στις στροφές, προσφέροντας ευελιξία, απόδοση και σταθερότητα.

 

• Μπαταρία 54 kWh

 

Η μπαταρία της CATL, με μικτή χωρητικότητα 54 kWh στο E-208 GTi, επωφελείται από βελτιστοποιημένη διαχείριση που την προστατεύει κατά τη σπορ οδήγηση, με ένα ειδικό σύστημα ψύξης προσαρμοσμένο σε υψηλές επιδόσεις.

 

Η τεχνογνωσία της PEUGEOT Sport στην υπηρεσία της οδηγικής απόλαυσης

 

• Πλαίσιο υψηλών επιδόσεων

 

Το PEUGEOT E-208 GTi προσφέρει τον καλύτερο λόγο βάρους/ισχύος στην κατηγορία του (5,7 κιλά/ίππο). Ένα πλεονέκτημα που αξιοποιείται πλήρως χάρη στις πολυάριθμες επεμβάσεις που πραγματοποίησαν οι μηχανικοί της PEUGEOT Sport στο πλαίσιο.

 

Διευρυμένα μετατρόχια — κατά 56 mm εμπρός και 27 mm πίσω — σε συνδυασμό με χαμηλωμένο αμάξωμα κατά 30 mm, ελατήρια και αμορτισέρ με υδραυλικά στοπ, ελαστικά Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2, καθώς και πίσω αντιστρεπτική δοκός, προσφέρουν την ιδανική ισορροπία ανάμεσα στη σπορ απόδοση και την καθημερινή άνεση.

 

Το σύστημα ESP του E-208 GTi διαθέτει ειδική λειτουργία Sport, η οποία απενεργοποιεί τα συστήματα υποβοήθησης του οδηγού – και την αναγεννητική πέδηση – για μεγαλύτερη αμεσότητα, για παράδειγμα σε συνθήκες πίστας.

 

• High-performance σύστημα πέδησης

 

Το E-208 GTi διαθέτει εμπρόσθιους δίσκους διαμέτρου 355 mm με 4πίστονες δαγκάνες, ειδικά σχεδιασμένες για την βελτιστοποίηση της ψύξης και τη διασφάλιση σταθερής και άριστης απόδοσης πέδησης σε όλες τις συνθήκες.

 

Ο σχεδιασμός των εξαιρετικών φρένων υψηλών επιδόσεων επιβλέφθηκε από τους μηχανικούς της PEUGEOT Sport. Οι δαγκάνες τους, βαμμένες κόκκινες, φέρουν αυτό το σήμα αριστείας. Αντίθετα, οι πίσω δαγκάνες είναι οι ίδιες με αυτές του E-208: το E-208 GTi δεν έχει σκοπό να εντυπωσιάζει, αλλά να προσφέρει αποτελεσματικότητα.

 

Το PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® ενισχύει την οδηγική αίσθηση

 

• Ειδικά, σπορ και άνετα καθίσματα

 

Το E-208 GTi διαθέτει εμπρός καθίσματα σχεδιασμένα ώστε να επιτρέπουν στον οδηγό να «γίνεται ένα» με το αυτοκίνητο. Είναι ιδιαίτερα «χωνευτά», τόσο στη βάση όσο και στις πλευρές, και ενσωματώνουν τα προσκέφαλα. Η ευαισθησία του τιμονιού του E-208 GTi έχει βαθμονομηθεί ειδικά για να προσφέρει μια ιδιαίτερα άμεση απόκριση, κατάλληλη για δυναμική οδήγηση. Το ευέλικτο, συμπαγές τιμόνι συμβάλλει στην παροχή μοναδικών οδηγικών αισθήσεων.

Όταν οι οδηγοί θέλουν μια πραγματικά σπορ ατμόσφαιρα, το E-208 GTi είναι έτοιμο να ανταποκριθεί! Τα γραφικά του ψηφιακού πίνακα οργάνων και της κεντρικής οθόνης είναι κόκκινα στην τυπική ρύθμιση, ενώ υπάρχουν διαθέσιμες ειδικές σελίδες ένδειξης επιδόσεων.

 

Ο κρυφός φωτισμός είναι επίσης κόκκινος από προεπιλογή (υπάρχουν άλλες επτά διαθέσιμες αποχρώσεις). Αυτή η σπορ κόκκινη ατμόσφαιρα συνοδεύεται από μια μοναδική, καθηλωτική ηχητική εμπειρία εντός του οχήματος, που ξυπνά όλες τις αισθήσεις. Προέρχεται από την απόδοση του κινητήρα, προσφέροντας επιπλέον οδηγικές αισθήσεις και μπορεί εύκολα να ενεργοποιηθεί ή να απενεργοποιηθεί ανάλογα με τις προτιμήσεις του οδηγού.

Το E-208 GTi προσφέρει τα καλύτερα στοιχεία του E-208 σε ό,τι αφορά τον εξοπλισμό, τόσο για την άνεση όσο και για την υποβοήθηση του οδηγού. Διαθέτει το σύστημα πληροφόρησης PEUGEOT i-Connect Advanced με την υψηλής απόδοσης συνδεδεμένη πλοήγηση TomTom, την αναγνώριση φωνής “OK PEUGEOT” και τη λειτουργία ασύρματου mirroring (Apple CarPlay/Android Auto).

 

• Υλικά υψηλής ποιότητας

 

Alcantara® στο τιμόνι και στις πλευρές της κεντρικής κονσόλας, νέα υφάσματα υψηλής ποιότητας στα καθίσματα, πατάκια ειδικής κατασκευής και μεγάλης πυκνότητας… το E-208 GTi επωφελείται από τα καλύτερα υλικά, κατασκευασμένα για εντατική χρήση με το πέρασμα του χρόνου.

 

Ένα ολοκληρωμένο ηλεκτρικό οικοσύστημα

 

• Μπαταρία μεγάλης χωρητικότητας για ηλεκτρική αυτονομία

 

Χάρη στην μπαταρία χωρητικότητας 54 kWh, με βελτιστοποιημένη διαχείριση, και τις αναγνωρισμένες ιδιότητες υψηλής αποδοτικότητας του E-208*, η έκδοση GTi προσφέρει αυτονομία 350 χιλιομέτρων στον μικτό κύκλο WLTP, κατάλληλη για καθημερινή χρήση.

• Γρήγορη και εύκολη φόρτιση προσαρμοσμένη σε κάθε χρήση

 

Το E-208 GTi μπορεί να φορτιστεί σε 4 ώρες και 40 λεπτά από WallBox (7,4 kW). Η λειτουργία «περιορισμός φόρτισης στο 80%», διαθέσιμη στο εναλλασσόμενο ρεύμα (AC), επιτρέπει επίσης την προσαρμογή του επιπέδου φόρτισης στην καθημερινή χρήση. Για πιο εντατική χρήση, όπως σε πίστα, το E-208 GTi μπορεί να φορτιστεί από 20% σε 80% σε λιγότερο από 30 λεπτά σε σταθμό φόρτισης 100 kW.

 

• Υπηρεσίες που απλοποιούν την καθημερινότητα

 

Όπως όλα τα μοντέλα PEUGEOT E-208, το GTi είναι εξοπλισμένο με Trip Planner συνδεδεμένο με το σύστημα πλοήγησης, που βελτιστοποιεί τα ταξίδια για να μεγιστοποιεί την αυτονομία του αυτοκινήτου και να διευκολύνει τη φόρτιση.

 

Το E-208 GTi προσφέρει τη λειτουργία vehicle-to-load (V2L), που επιτρέπει τη λειτουργία μιας ηλεκτρικής συσκευής μέσω της μπαταρίας υψηλής τάσης του αυτοκινήτου. Για παράδειγμα, για τη φόρτιση ηλεκτρικού ποδηλάτου.

 

Η εφαρμογή MyPEUGEOT® για smartphones επιτρέπει απομακρυσμένη πρόσβαση σε πολλές

λειτουργίες: θερμική προ-ρύθμιση της καμπίνας, προγραμματισμό φόρτισης της μπαταρίας, προγραμματισμό ενσωματωμένης πλοήγησης πριν την εκκίνηση και πολλά άλλα.

EXCELLENCE: NEXT-LEVEL ELECTRIC PERFORMANCE AND CONNECTIVITY

The new STLA Medium electric platform from Stellantis inaugurated on the E-3008 enables PEUGEOT to meet the expectations of 100% electric vehicle customers in terms of performance, efficiency, range and recharging capacity.

With the new E-3008, PEUGEOT is entering a new era, both in terms of design and electrification. The E-3008 is designed for demanding, fast-moving customers.

 

• An electric platform that sets new standards

The PEUGEOT E-3008 is the first model to benefit from Stellantis’ brand new STLA Medium platform. Designed for the Group’s future electric vehicles, it sets a new benchmark in the market.

The STLA Medium BEV-by-design platform boasts record on-board energy between the wheels, with up to 98kWh in a wheelbase that has been kept short (2.73m for the E-3008). This high-performance design enables the E-3008 to offer the best range in its category (up to 700km) while still being compact (4.54m long).

 

• A wide range of high-performance electric powertrains

Designed from the outset as an electric model, the new E-3008 benefits from a range of 3 zero-emission all-electric powertrains (WLTP cycle under approval) to meet all customer needs.

– Range of 525km, 2-wheel drive, 210bhp/157kW,

– Dual Motor with range of 525km, 4-wheel drive, 320bhp/240kW,

– Long Range with range of 700km, 2-wheel drive, 230bhp/170kW.

 

• The electric motor and gearbox

This new generation of permanent magnet synchronous motors offers more power and greater efficiency.  The 2-wheel drive versions deliver 157kW (343Nm) or 170kW (343Nm). The Dual Motor 4-wheel drive version delivers a total of 240kW (157kW-343Nm at the front and 83Kw-166Nm at the rear).

The electric motor is manufactured and produced by the STELLANTIS-NIDEC joint venture in Trémery (France).

The gearbox is manufactured and produced by Stellantis in Valenciennes (France). The ratio for the 2-wheel drive version (530km) is 9.77.

 

• The battery

The 400V high-voltage lithium-ion battery, with a chemical composition of NMC (Nickel, Manganese and Cobalt), is located under the floor pan and supplies the electric motor for the vehicle’s traction.

The other electrical consumers (lights, infotainment, etc.) continue to be supplied by a 12V battery, itself supplied by the high-voltage battery via the converter.

There are three technical definitions (WLTP cycle under approval) of the high-voltage battery:

• Range of 525km with 73kWh,
• Dual Motor with range of 525km with 73kWh,
• Long Range of 700km with 98kWh.

Thermal management of the battery uses circulating coolant to ensure ultra-fast charging, optimised range and longer life.

The heat pump also contributes to the thermal comfort of occupants while saving battery energy.

The battery is guaranteed for 8 years (or 160,000km) at 70% of its charge capacity.

 

• Fast charging

The charging socket on the left rear wing offers Mode 2/3 (alternating current) and Mode 4 (direct current) connections.

For AC charging, two types of on-board charger are available to suit all customer uses and charging solutions, with an 11kW three-phase charger as standard and a 22kW three-phase charger as an option.

For DC recharging, via superchargers, the Mode 4 socket on the new E-3008 accepts a power rating up to 160kW, enabling the E-3008’s standard range battery to be recharged from 20% to 80% in 30 minutes for the standard range version, and less than 30 minutes for the Long-Range version.

 

• Extended electrical functions

 

• V1G or Smart Charging function

This function is compatible with energy supplier services and adjusts the time and power at which the battery of the new PEUGEOT E-3008 is charged in order to optimise charging costs.

• V2L (Vehicle to Load) function

This very practical feature gives customers the option of powering an electrical device via the new PEUGEOT E-3008’s high-voltage battery. For example, to charge an electric bicycle or operate an electrical appliance. The system can supply up to 3kW and 16A.

 

• 3-stage regenerative braking

This function makes it instinctive and easy to adjust the level of energy recovery, as well as the level of deceleration of the vehicle.

Using the paddles behind the compact steering wheel, you can activate regenerative braking in 1 of 3 levels, with the left-hand paddle increasing regeneration and the right-hand paddle decreasing it:

• Low (-0.6m/s²), for sensations close to those of a combustion engine vehicle,
• Medium (-1.2m/s²), for increased deceleration when the accelerator pedal is released,
• High (-1.8m/s²), for maximum deceleration when the accelerator pedal is released, and therefore maximum regeneration.

The last 2 levels automatically switch on the rear brake lights.

 

• Hybrid and rechargeable hybrid powertrains

To complete the line-up, the new 3008 will also be available with electrified (Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid) power units, according to market needs, as well as one powertrain for international markets.  More details of these will be published later.

 

• The latest generation of PEUGEOT connected information systems

The Allure trim comes as standard with the PEUGEOT i-Connect® system, which offers full connectivity thanks to a wireless mirroring function (Apple CarPlay/Android Auto).

The technological experience is complete with the PEUGEOT i-Connect® Advanced, standard on the E-3008 GT. This is equipped with a high-performance TomTom connected navigation system incorporating a “trip planner” function that optimally plans journeys to maximise the car’s range and make charging easier. To calculate the ideal route, the system takes into account a wide range of information, including the distance to be travelled, the battery charge level at the start, the desired battery charge level on arrival, speed, energy consumption, traffic, road type, gradient… and of course the charging points available at the destination.

The “OK PEUGEOT” natural language voice recognition command provides access to infotainment, heating and air conditioning functions, as well as the telephone. This voice recognition is now able to distinguish between commands made by the driver or passenger.

To support users and answer any questions they may have, the system includes on-board documentation and tutorials (accessible via QR Code). System updates are carried out ‘over the air’.

 

• Full connectivity

All E-3008s have two USB-C sockets located on the front of the centre console, one for charging and data transfer, the other exclusively for charging.

E-3008s equipped with PEUGEOT i-Connect® Advanced have two additional USB-C sockets (for charging), located at the rear of the centre console for passengers in row 2.

All E-3008s are equipped with three 12-volt sockets located at the front and rear of the centre console, and in the boot.

A wireless phone charger (15W) is located on the centre console, under the i-Toggles.

 

• New connected services*

The My PEUGEOT smartphone application allows E-3008 users to stay permanently connected with their vehicle and access a number of functions remotely:

– Geolocate your vehicle, receive alerts reminding you of any maintenance requirements.

– Remotely control the door locking and activate the lights or horn to locate the car.

– Start or schedule thermal pre-conditioning. As well as providing greater comfort, this feature helps to optimise range by bringing the battery up to temperature when the vehicle is plugged in.

– Check, schedule, start or defer battery charging. As well as saving a considerable amount of time, it’s also a way of avoiding spending more than necessary.

– E-Routes app by Free2move Charge is a trip planner available on smartphone.

– App Store is a wall of applications with different categories (Music, Travel, News, Entertainment, Weather…) available directly in the infotainment of the new E-3008.

• An environmental approach

 

• Sustainable materials

For the new PEUGEOT 3008, we use more than 500kg of green materials throughout the vehicle (metals + polymers):

– green steel and aluminium represent 60% of the total mass of green materials,

– More than 30 polymer parts are produced with green materials,

– Recycled plastic is used in bumpers, spoilers, storage bins and carpets.

The sustainable design approach is illustrated by the reduction in the number of decorative inserts on the bodywork and the removal of all chrome parts on the exterior of the new 3008.

 

• An integrated industrial ecosystem

As part of its sustainable approach, PEUGEOT designs and manufactures the new E-3008 in France. The batterie rack have been designed at the Stellantis plant in Mulhouse, then the batterie packs are assembled at the Sochaux plant, which produces the E-3008.

 

• A simple, easy-to-understand range

E-3008 is available in two trim levels, Allure and GT.

E-3008 Allure models feature a single-tone paint finish and half leather-effect – half fabric upholstery with embossed motifs. The main standard equipment includes keyless entry and ignition, rear HD camera, rear parking sensors, LED headlamps and lights, 19-inch alloy wheels, PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® with two 10-inch digital panels, PEUGEOT i-Connect® connected information system.

The E-3008 GT comes in two-tone paint with a black roof and Alcantara upholstery. Main standard equipment, in addition to that of the Allure version: 20-inch alloy wheels, Pixel LED headlamps, front parking sensors, motorised tailgate, heated front seats and steering wheel, induction smartphone charger, customisable ambient lighting, PEUGEOT Panoramic i-Cockpit® with curved 21-inch screen, customisable i-Toggles, PEUGEOT i-Connect® Advanced connected information system.

 

• NEW PEUGEOT E-5008

In addition of the PEUGEOT full EV line-up strategy, we will be launching a class-above electric large SUV – it will be targeting a broader audience of large SUV buyers – more details to come early 2024.

The new PEUGEOT 408 is unexpected because it’s different. It is the first of its kind, both in the history of the brand itself and in the car market as a whole. With the new 408, PEUGEOT showcases the creativity of its teams by offering a new ‘fastback’ body at the top of segment C. This new-age PEUGEOT has a feline silhouette, unique charm, and engineering excellence, focusing on economy and intelligent electrification, as well as the thrills of cutting-edge technologies, both in terms of driving pleasure and ease of use.

COMPARATIVE. The PEUGEOT 408 stands out first and foremost for its dynamic ‘fastback’ silhouette and unparalleled style, but also for the extent to which it challenges the status quo. The distinctive feline appearance is an element that now distinguishes the brand’s models. Its lines are sharp, the grille is in the same colour as the bodywork to blend perfectly with the front end, and it is adorned with the new PEUGEOT lion’s head badge. The inverted shape of the rear bumper gives the profile a strong personality. The new PEUGEOT 408 appears to tread resolutely on 720 mm diameter wheels, and the iconic 20-inch wheels present a subversive geometric design. At the front, the signature lighting with the now familiar ‘fangs’ ideally integrates the 408 into the PEUGEOT family, as do the LED tail lights with their three ‘fangs’.

At 4.69m long, and with a long wheelbase of 2.79m, the new PEUGEOT 408 offers enviable comfort for rear seat occupants, a fact attested to by the 188mm of legroom available for their feet. In the same vein, the dimensions of the luggage compartment are just as generous, offering a total capacity of 536 litres, a figure that can be increased to as much as 1,611 litres with the rear seats folded down. The new PEUGEOT 408 is 1.48 metres tall and stands out for its slim and sculpted silhouette, which also makes a decisive contribution to improving its aerodynamic performance.

For both driver and passengers, the PEUGEOT 408 offers the latest generation of the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®, which is instantly recognisable by its small-diameter steering wheel, and also helps to ensure driving pleasure and perfectly controlled agility.

Inside, and in particular in the driving position, the emphasis is on quality and connectivity, with the latest technologies available to make the driving experience more intuitive and interactive.

Thanks to the assistance of 6 cameras and 9 radar systems, the driver assistance systems provide the driver and passengers with peace of mind and safety. These include:

Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go function,
The Adaptive Cruise Control (Adaptive Cruise Control) with Adaptive Cruise Control (Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go) and Night Vision, which warns of the presence of animals, pedestrians or cyclists in the path of the car before they are illuminated by the car’s headlights,
Long-range blind spot monitoring, 75 metres,
Rear Traffic Alert, which warns of a potential collision.

The range of engines with which the new PEUGEOT 408 is equipped includes two plug-in hybrid versions with 180 and 225 hp, and a petrol version with 130 hp. All three engines are available with the 8-speed EAT8 automatic transmission. A few months later, the range will be completed with a purely electric version.

Economy was one of the main concerns of the PEUGEOT 408 designers. The joint effort in improving aerodynamics, reducing weight (from 1396 kg) and developing low-emission engines have resulted in the creation of a model that achieves extremely low average energy consumption (in the approval process), whether in its hybrid versions or in the 130 hp petrol version.

The new PEUGEOT 408 will be launched in early 2023. A car with international commercial career ambitions that will be built initially for the European market, in Mulhouse, France, and immediately afterwards, at the Chengdu plant for the local market in China.

The quest for responsible and modern pleasure: customers

With the new 408, the PEUGEOT brand completes its range in the highly strategic C segment. PEUGEOT has held a leading position in this segment in recent years, thanks to the success of the 3008 and 5008 SUVs, as well as three generations of the 308 saloon and 308 SW, the latter having just been launched. The PEUGEOT 408 completes the brand’s range and places it at the top of the C-Class.

The new PEUGEOT 408 reflects the values and concerns of a highly modernist audience: dynamic and connected, these customers want to contribute to the energy transition without having to sacrifice moments of pleasure. They seek innovation and appreciate the creativity and daring of new combinations that go beyond the conventional.

Most of the customers of the new PEUGEOT 408 will be couples, most of them with a thirst for life, with or without children, who use their car for personal and business purposes. A multitude of needs and desires, often complementing each other, guide their choice. Some wish to move to a purchase of a C-segment model and buy a larger and more spacious car. Others are looking for a more original look and an innovative shape compared to a compact SUV, which they consider too ordinary or too family-friendly. Finally, others simply appreciate the imposing body of a large car. All of them are looking for a very modern driving experience, either for everyday use or for long, comfortable and relaxed trips with passengers.

Unique MOTHER of a dynamic and innovative fastback body: the design

Combined with the feline stance of all PEUGEOT cars, the official language of the new 408 is perfectly in line with the innovative concept of the top fastback in segment C. It is characterised by the particularly sharp edges of the surfaces, which are most noticeable at the rear: at the roof trim, and at the base of the wings, and these sharp edges are designed to play with light.

The 408 has a distinctive exterior architecture. Based on the EMP2 (Efficient Modular Platform), a multi-option engine platform, the model with its long wheelbase of 2.787m offers excellent space for rear passengers. Its overall length reaches 4.69m and its width, with the mirrors folded, is 1.859m.

The wide tracks (1.599m at the front and 1.604m at the rear) confirm the car’s sure footing on the road, while the large diameter wheels (720mm) play the same role, as does the diameter of the wheels, which reach up to 20in. Although the body of the new PEUGEOT 408 is taller, it retains an extremely slim silhouette and a sporty profile thanks to its overall height of no more than 1.48m.

At the front, the long bonnet framed by raised wings, an element that characterises all the latest PEUGEOT models, stands out. This stylistic choice enhances the appearance of the front end while streamlining the profile, as the wing-bonnet joint is almost invisible. This construction principle also simplifies the outer bonnet line and enables the body parts to fit perfectly.

The Matrix LED technology used in the lights has contributed to the creation of these ultra-thin luminaires, while ensuring a top level of lighting efficiency. These headlights are also the hallmark of the new 408: a feature that says it is undoubtedly a PEUGEOT. The lighting signature extends downwards with two fang-shaped LED strips that penetrate deep into the bumper.

The grille is an integral part of the 408’s identity. It harmoniously surrounds the brand’s new badge that conceals the radar used by many of the driver assistance systems. The shade of the grille ensures that it is “hidden” by integrating it into the overall volume of the bumper – a characteristic feature of the generational change and electrification of the PEUGEOT range.
